  13 people kidnapped in last 2 months from Khairpur

KHAIRPUR: During a survey conducted by The Regional Times it was learnt that in last two months 13 people were kidnapped from Khairpur including, Mehdi Hassan KAndhro, Ayaz Hussain Unar,Wazir Solangi, Hussain Bux Solangi, Muhar Larik, Ismail Larik, Yasin Larik and others. It is worthwhile to mention that despite passage of several days police has failed to get any clue of the fifteen kidnapped men due to which their families are facing critical conditions.
While talking to newsmen, the relatives of abducted men condemned the performance of police and demanded of the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and the Home Minister of Sindh, Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza to take immediate notice of the matter, otherwise they threatened to start a protest movement.
Raid Commissioner recovers a detainee from Sorah PS
The Raid Commissioner, Abdul Hameed and Shuja Ahmed Phulpoto conducted a raid at Sorah Police Station on the orders of the District and Session Judge Khairpur.
The officials recovered a detainee, Dur Nawaz s/o Ghulam Rasool Mallah from the police station, who was released by them. The SHO of Sorah Police Station was ordered to appear before the court along with the record.
Motorcycle snatched
Few unidentified armed men snatched a motorcycle from the youths namely, Qurban Kalhoro and Bakhshal Ujjan from the jurisdiction of Ahmedpur Police Station on Saturday. The armed men tortured the motorcyclist due to offer resistance and managed to flee from the scene safely. The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital Khairpur. No case of the incident was lodged till filing of this news.
Former VC SALU appears before court
The former Vice Chancellor of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, AR Malik appeared in the court of Additional and Session Judge on Saturday in the murder case of a student namely, Amjad Pathan. The court was adjourned and the VC of SALU was directed to appear before court ion the next date.
