HYDERABAD: Anti Corruption Police Hyderabad under the leadership
of In-charge, Ismail Abbasi and Civil Judge-11 Hyderabad,
Qazi Shah Muhammad conducted raid at the Civil Hospital Hyderabad
and conducted an inquiry of misappropriation of 40 million
rupees, which were utilized for the purchasing of different
electronic machines of the hospital, whereas, the Anti-Corruption
Team also seized the record of the hospital.
Talking to media men, the Anti-Corruption Officer of Hyderabad
said that the former MS of the Civil Hospital Hyderabad, Dr.
Manzoor Memon, ADS, Dr. Khan Muhammad Laghari and Accountant,
Abdul Sattar Jatoi issued a contract of 110 million rupees
for purchase of different electronic machines for the hospitals
in 2008 and from these rupees 4 million have been misappropriated.
He further said that above said officials will be included
in the inquiry. When media men contacted to Dr. Manzoor Memon,
Dr. Khan Muhammad Laghari and Abdul Sattar Jatoi, they completely
ruled out the allegations of corruption and said that a 16-member
committee had passed the bills of contract for the purchase
of different machines from different foreigners companies.
They further said that those foreigner companies are bound
to deliver the required electronic machines within 90 days
and more than 80 percent electronic machines were delivered
to the hospital, whereas, the remaining electronic machines
will be delivered with 2, 3 days.

for utilization of Sindh resources for development of province
The Central General Secretary of Sindh United Party (SUP)
Syed Zain Shah and Dodo Maheri have said that the Thar Coal
is the property of Sindh and Federal Government reportedly
wanted to take the control of Thar Coal by forming Coal Authority.
This was stated by them while addressing a press conference
at the Hyderabad Press Club on Saturday. They said that conspiracies
against the Sindh will not be afforded at any cost. They furthers
said that the resources of Sindh should be utilize for the
development of Sindh. On the occasion, they announced to launch
a protest series against that act of government from 8th of
October throughout Sindh.
Excise Police
recovers 250 Kg hashish, arrests truck driver
Excise Police Hyderabad conducted raid under the leadership
of ATO, Chaudhry Ghulam Muhammad Arain on Saturday conducted
raid at Super Highway near Jamshoro Tool Plaza and recovered
250 kilograms of hashish from a truck bearing number: TKL
089 and arrested the driver of truck namely, Abdul Zahir Pathan.
Talking to the media men, arrested truck driver, Abdul Zahir
Pathan said that he was smuggling the hashish from Balochistan
to Karachi. Excise Police started its further inquiry.
Man demands
protection
The resident of Al-Noor Colony Dadu, Dhani Bux Panhwar continued
their protest demonstration for provision of protection outside
the Hyderabad Press Club on Saturday.
Addressing on the occasion, Dhani Bux Panhwar said that in
spite of passage of 3 months, he as not been provided the
justice, whereas, the local influential persons are issuing
him dire threats.
On the occasion, he demanded of the concerned authorities
for provision of protection.
PPP-SB protests
for release of party leaders
The activists of Pakistan Peoples Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB)
held a protest demonstration against the arrest of their party
leader, Faisal Arain outside the Hyderabad Press Club on Saturday.
Addressing on the occasion, the leaders including, Muhammad
Essa Khoso, Shoaib Noonari, Mehtab Bhutto and others alleged
that the revenge activities have been started against the
PPP-SB leaders. On the occasion, they demanded of the concerned
authorities for the immediate release of arrested party leaders,
otherwise, they threatened to enlarge their protest level.
Villagers of Juma Mari continue
their protest against people of Thakur community
The residents of Juma Mari of Taluka Ningar Parker continued
their protest demonstration on 2nd day against the people
of Thakur community outside the Hyderabad Press Club on Saturday.
Talking to the media men, the protesting villagers including,
Bhoromal, Lali Kolhi, Wakil Nasro Lal and others alleged that
the people of Thakur community made the lives of local people
miserable and they allegedly took away their livestock. On
the occasion, they demanded of the concerned authorities for
provision of justice.
Bomb hoax creates panic in Hyderabad
Bomb hoax in local hotel of Hyderabad created panic among
the administration of hotel at Tahdi Sadak on Saturday.
The hotel administration vacated the hotel and bomb disposable
squad was called on time, which cleared hotel. |
