  Court acquits PPP-SB leaders in narcotics case

SUKKUR: PPP-SB leaders acquitted by the local court on Wednesday.
According to the details, the court acquitted Pakistan Peoples Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) leader, Javed Noahani and Muhammad Ali Abbasi, who were booked in narcotics case. A large number of party activists received them from court. Later on, they held a protest demonstration against Sukkur Police for alleged lodging of fake cases against their leaders outside the Sukkur Press Club.
Addressing on the occasion, they demanded of the concerned authorities for the immediate withdrawal of fake cases against their leaders.
Court orders to provide protection to couple
Court orders to police to provide protection boy and girls on Wednesday, who were declared Karo-Kari.
According to the details, the hearing of petition was held in the court of Sindh High Court Sukkur Bench. During the hearing of the petition, which was filed by Human Safety Foundation Sukkur, the court ordered the police to provide protection to boy and girl, who were declared Karo-Kari during a Jirga. Court also ordered to police to take action against accused persons.
Lecturers protest
against police torture on their colleagues
The lecturers of Islamia College Sukkur after boycotting the classes held a protest demonstration against the police torture on their colleagues during their protest in Karachi.
Addressing on the occasion, the protesting lecturers including, Ali Gul, Abdul Razaq, Nisar Ahmed and others strongly condemned police torture on their fellows and demanded of the concerned authorities for immediate action against involved police officials.

Population Department protest for acceptance of their demands
The employees of Population Department Sukkur observed pen down strike and took out a protest rally for the acceptance of their demands on Wednesday. The participants of the rally marched through the various roads of the city reached at the Sukkur Press Club. Addressing on the occasion, the protesting leaders including, Manzoor Ahmed, Ashique Ali Jaffari, Ayaz Dal, Nazir Ahmed Kalwar and others demanded of the concerned authorities for the immediate acceptance of their demands.
