JAMSHORO: Deputy Director Media Higher Education Commission
(HEC) Islamabad, Ms. Aisha Ikram visited Mehran University
of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro on Wednesday 24th
September 2008. Senior consultant Mr. Raziuddin was also accompanied
with her. She attended a briefing on development projects
funded by the HEC .Vice-Chancellor Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan Rajput,
Dr. Muhammad Rafique Abro, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Dr.Riaz Ahmed
Sohag, Dean Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Dost Ali Khowja, Dean
Faculty of Architecture and Design, Dr. Abdul
Karim Baloch, Dean Faculty of Electrical Electronics
and Computer Engineering, Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Panhwar Dean
Faculty of Technology and Humanities, Dr. Muhammad Aslam Uquaili,
Registrar, Engr: Ghulam Sarwar Kandhar, Advisor Planning and
Development /Chief Project Director, and other officials were
present on the occasion. Ghulam Sarwar Kandhar, briefed the
HEC representatives about the development projects funded
by the HEC and visited various departments and Main Gate of
the University.
MUET contraindicates news regarding clash of
students in varsity
The authorities of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology
have contraindicated the news item appeared in the section
of press regarding the clash of students in the varsity.
Giving details the Public Relation Officer of Mehran University
of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Mushtaque Baloch through
a press statement issued here on Thursday clarified that the
clash erupted between two groups of students in Hyderabad
City in the jurisdiction of Market Police Station and he also
condemned the boycott of students of the varsity. Mr. Baloch
further said that classes are being run continuously and supplementary
exams are also being conducted according to schedule.

The Vice Chancellor Mehran University of Engineering and Technology,
Mr. Abdul Qadeer Khan Rajput on Thursday visited various sections
of the varsity and directed students to take keen interest
in academic activities. He also advised students to avoid
other activities so that they can achieve the objective of
the varsity. |
