LAHORE: Government is taking all possible
steps to provide best facilities to intending pilgrims and
arrangement have been finalised for their accommodation,
logistics and provision of medical facilities during their
stay in the holy land.
Speaking at a training camp for intending Hajis here Friday,Coordinator
Haj Training Syed Farogh Aftab Zaidi said government of
Pakistan has set up two hospitals in Makkah and Madina,besides
eight dispensaries in Makkah and three in Madina.
He said government of Pakistan has made all out efforts
to facilitate hajis and advised them to take care of others
and avoid complaints of petty issues.
He said work for administering meningitis injections to
intending hajis has been started while as per directive
of Saudi government they would also be given polio drops.
He said as a precationary measure they should also get themselves
vaccinated against influenza. The official said the schedule
for training programme has already been sent to intending
Hajis who would perform Haj under government scheme, while
booklets for the guidance of intending Hajis would also
be sent to them by post.
He explained that PIA would provide female intending Hajis
a full gown, while male pilgrims would be provided a set
of sheets at the time of departure. On their return, each
would be provided ten litres of zam zam water as gift.
“Separate video CDs have been prepared for those performing
Haj under government and private schemes for their training
in religious rituals and other matters pertaining to Haj.
These are available at reasonable rates at the Haj camp,”
