HYDERABAD: Sindh president of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith
Pakistan, Amir Abdullah Farooqui has said that country was
passing through critical period and conspiracies were being
hatched against it to endanger its solidarity. He said that
there was situation of uncertainty as economic crisis has
taken dangerous shape and people were committing suicides
because of hunger.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday he said after
explosion in Marriot Hotel the capital was flowing out of
country and our currency was under heavy pressure.
He said they would make appeal to those involved in suicide
bomb attacks in name of Islam and country to spare innocent
people as this is not war that they are making target to
oppressed people. He said suicide attack was Haram (banished)
in Islam. He said the people who are not aware of teachings
of Islam and Quran were using youth for their evil designs.
He said Islam was religion of peace and brotherhood and
under any circumstances suicide attacks were not allowed.
He asked religious scholars to come out of their Hujras
and guide the nation in this critical juncture. He also
appealed to political, religious and nationalist parties
to support positive steps of government and give up their
personal interests for sake of nation. He asked president
AsifAli Zardari to take nation into confidence and inform
it of true situation so that whole nation can fight against
enemies of Pakistan and Islam unitedly. He asked government
to provide security to all religious leaders and to eliminate
terrorism. He condemned US strikes and asked government
to stop such strikes through diplomatic efforts. He appealed
to philanthropists to extend cooperation to welfare organizations
such as Haji Wali Muhammad Umar Welfare Trust, Fatima Welfare
Trust and Mohsin Insaniyat organization. To a question he
said they oppose train march of Jamat Islami and asked political
and religious parties to desist from protest movement as
country was facing big challenges and instead help democracy
to take roots. Dr. Anis Rehman Siddiqui of Ahle Sunnat Jamat,
Nizam Hydri of Shia Ulema Council, Maulana Murtaza Khan
Rehmani and Syed Muhammad Ishaq Muhammadi were present on
the occasion.
Protest against occupation of graveyard
The residents of Qasimabad under the leadership of Fatah
Dehani staged a protest demonstration against occupation
of graveyard by builder’s mafia. Talking to newsmen
they alleged that local builders have encroached on the
graveyard near Girls Degree College. They demanded of the
administration to remove encroachment from the college,
otherwise they have threatened to enlarge their protest
level.
PASBAN protests
against inflation
The activists of PASBAN ‘an NGO’ under the leadership
of Provincial President, Muhammad Hussain Khan staged a
protest demonstration outside the Hyderabad Press Club against
rapid increase in inflation on Friday.
The protestors chanted slogans and demanded of the government
to take immediate measures to ensure control on inflation,
otherwise they have threatened to enlarge their protest
level.
