Karachi: Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Ali
Mirza Friday announced to raise prize money from Rs5 million
to Rs10 million for disclosing network of terrorists involved
in the Karsaz tragedy that happened on October 18, 2007.
Presiding over a meeting at Central Police Office Karachi,
he directed Home Secretary to issue notification of raised
prize money. The meeting was also attended by IGP Sindh Sultan
Salahuddin Babar Khatak, CCPO Karachi Wasim Ahmed, DIG Headquarters
Saud Mirza, DIG Investigation Karachi Ghulam Qadir, SP Saddar
Town Dr Amir Sheikh, SSP AVCU and SSP Investigation Zone East.
The meeting was briefed that 146 persons died in this tragedy
while 402 sustained injuries. FIR number 183/2007 of this
tragedy was registered PS Bahadarabad. DIG Headquarters Saud
Mirza apprised the meeting about findings made in this case
so far. He said Investigation Officer DSP Nawaz Ranjha had
played an important role in this regard. Home Minister asked
IGP Sindh to ensure disclosure of terrorists responsible for
this tragedy besides arresting them. He also asked them to
complete high-profile cases in time and launch operation against
