special committee to hold first meeting on November 17
 

ISLAMABAD: First meeting of special committee of parliament on terrorism and national security has been convened on November,17 in parliament house while Rahat Zafar who is senior officer of National Assembly secretariat has been appointed as secretary of the committee.
Rahat Zafar told Online Friday the committee had since been formed in continuation of in camera session of both houses of the parliament therefore, its meeting would also be in camera. No one other than members of the committee had been invited to the meeting, he told.
Leader of the house in Senate Mian Raza Rabbani would preside over the meeting. Those who are invited to the meeting are information minister Sherry Rehman, Babar Awan, Ishaq Dar, Mehtab Ahmad Khan, Waseem Sajjad, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Asfandyar Wali, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Munir Khan Orakzai, Professor Khurshid Ahmad, Abdul Razzaq Thaheem, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Abdul Rahim Mandokhel, Israrullah Zahri, Shahid Hassan Bugti and Maulana Sami ul Haq. Committee will work out its rules and regulation to ensure implementation of resolution adopted by joint session of parliament on national security. Committee has been given one month time frame in this respect.—Online
