ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on
Interior, Rehman Malik has said that Pakistan gave due importance
to its relation with Britain which would be further boost
on strong basis in future.
He expressed these views while talking to British Permanent
Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs Sir Peter Ricketts and
Permanent Under Secretary Home Office Sir David Normington
who called on him here on Monday. British High Commission
in Pakistan, Robert Brinkley was also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, Rehman Malik said that both Pakistan
and Britain enjoyed multi-dimensional relations and deep
rooted trust based on mutuality of interests and commonality
of views.
He further said that two countries held wide ranging discourse
on areas of diverse significance with an objective to add
more steam and energy in the existing relations to withstand
the contemporary and future challenges.—Agencies
