Karachi: Chief Secretary Sindh Fazlur Rahman
Wednesday urged officials to ensure timely initiation and
completion of different uplift projects, particularly revival
of Karachi Circular Railway (KCR), besides monitoring them
regularly.
He asked them to monitor work regarding revival of Karachi
Circular Railway, and other ongoing projects including National
Program for Improvement of Watercourses, Peoples Primary Health
Care Initiatives Emergency Relief, Provision of Pass Books
to farmers, Gorakh Hill Development Project, Sindh Cultural
Heritage Program, Public Private Partnership Initiatives,
Education Sector Reforms, and Low Cost Housing Scheme. He
asked them to ensure provision of all basic amenities to people
by early completion of these projects. He also called a meeting
of provincial secretaries and district coordination officers
to be held at his office on November 10. The matters-Annual
Development Program (ADP), stability of prices of essential
items, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Development Program, Provision
of Land to Landless Growers, Housing for Poor, Clean Drinking
Water for All (CDWA), PPHI and NPIW would be reviewed in this
meeting. The meeting will also discuss Polio Immunization
Campaign, smooth supply of fertilizer, enhanced electricity
bills issue and introducing websites of district governments.—RT |
