ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman
Malik has said the government never inked deal with militants
group and the operation in South Waziristan is not against
any tribe but against Baithullah Mehsud and his aides.
Talking to media men here on Friday after inquiring about
injured of Thursday’s suicide blast in a private hospital
of the capital, the interior minister said that there was
still possibility of entering of terrorists into South Punjab
from South Waziristan and the issue was discussed with CM
Punjab. He said that there was need of joint cooperation
between the federal government and provinces to eliminate
the menace of terrorism completely.
The minister said that the government to ensure protection
of life and property of people, adding terrorists were failing
in their objective due to strict security measures.
Commenting on operation in South Waziristan, the minister
said that the operation is not against any tribe but against
only Baithullah Mashud and his aides. —Agencies
