LARKANA:A team of the Archeology Department under the supervision
of Qasim Ali Qasim, the Project Director of Moen-jo-Daro,
has started digging at DK area at the north side of the
Moen-jo-Daro. The team recovered incarnation of animal,
bangles, pots of clay, a pot of clay used for making gold
at that time and other artifacts. While talking to The Regional
Times, Project Director of Moen-jo-Daro Qasim Ali Qasim
said that for the preservation and protection of historical
sites the Federal Government has released first installment
of Rs.8 millions from the allocated funds of Moen-jo-Daro.
He further said that in order to save the historical site
of Moen-jo-Daro several steps have been taken, whereas the
discovered antiques have been kept at laboratory for the
research. He added that the digging work of Moen-jo-Daro
has been completed fifteen percent, whereas to complete
the work more time is required
Larkana Police
arrest eleven outlaws
Larkana Police conducted raids at several areas on Monday
and arrested eleven outlaws including Akhtar Hussain Abro,
Rajab Magsi, Haneef Umrani, Mashooq Umrani, Haneef Marri,
Gulsher Sher, Aktiar Sher, Papu Aghani, Mumtaz Mangnejo,
Munawar Jatoi, Manthar Sanjrani, Zahid Jalbani. The police
recovered stolen motorcycles, illegal weapons and drugs
from the custody of arrested men. Different cases were lodged
against the arrested men.
SNF demands
withdrawal of cases lodged against Mumtaz Bhutto
A meeting of Sindh National Front city Larkana was held
under the chair of Rais Nazir Ahmed Bhutto at Dahesar House
Larkana on Monday. Addressing on the occasion, he condemned
the lodging of cases against SNF Chairman Mumtaz Ali Bhutto.
He demanded of the government to withdraw lodged cases against
the SNF leaders, otherwise he threatened to start a protest
movement. On the occasion, Muhammad Mithal Mughari, Hadi
Bux Chandio, Altaf Bhutto, Javed Bhutto and others were
also present.
